Your tasks As an assistant nurse in Health and Medical Care in Care and Nursing Homes, you work with delegated tasks at primary care level together with our nurses. The assignment aims to relieve nurses with tasks that can be delegated to an assistant nurse. You will perform tasks delegated by the nurse, such as distribution of APO doses, rearrangements, vein sampling, blood pressure / pulse sampling at / for the residents of a nursing home within Umeå Municipality. You will also, on behalf of the nurse, provide guidance/instruction to nursing staff at the home and document the tasks performed. Your role includes close cooperation with nurses at the home. About you You are a trained assistant nurse and have experience of working in health and social care. It is an advantage if you have experience of elderly care, delegation of drug distribution and insulin administration. The service requires good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing. You have good initiative and are good at thinking outside the box. You have the ability to work independently, while recognizing the importance of collaboration with different professions in which the individual also has an active role. Of course, you have a good, respectful attitude and are responsive and open in your contacts with both the persons being cared for and their relatives. You are good at cooperating and want to contribute to good communication and collaboration with other actors.
