Väst-Tegs vård- och omsorgsboende is a newly built accommodation located at Väst-Teg. The accommodation will open in the fall of 2024 and consists of 6 floors. In total there are 120 apartments divided into 12 units and each unit consists of 10 apartments. Each unit has its own spacious balcony. On the ground floor there is a café and a glazed patio. There is also a production kitchen on the Väst-Teg premises. The production kitchen prepares meals that are distributed to homes and schools around Umeå municipality. Väst-Teg is a municipal care and nursing home. We are now looking for two important assistant nurses with supervisory assignments for our team! Your tasks You will assist our residents with personal care, administer medication to those in need, support with meals and socializing. You will document actions and health conditions. Care needs vary and we work in a person-centered way to help individuals based on their different conditions. In the role of supervising assistant nurse, you have an important task to ensure the quality of the care we provide and to train and supervise care staff in the daily nursing work. Working hours are initially during the day, Monday to Friday. Later on, it may be changed based on the needs of the business to include evenings and weekends. About you We are looking for you who are a trained assistant nurse and have solid experience of nursing work in elderly care. You have experience of having a supervisory function or other leadership experience. Knowledge of dementia and experience of working with people with dementia is an advantage. We attach great importance to personal suitability, pedagogical and empathic skills. You show a great commitment to both users and activities in all relationships and actions. You enjoy working independently, are patient and show initiative. You have a good ability to cooperate and interact with colleagues, managers, relatives and other professions. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and read care documentation and obtain medication, you must have a good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
