The elderly care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction.

Skräddarens vård- och omsorgsboende is centrally located on Teg, about 1.5 km from Umeå city center, close to the Umeälven river and nice green areas. The home has 47 apartments spread over three floors and each floor consists of two smaller units.

Your duties

With a professional approach and good treatment, you assist our residents in their everyday lives. The resident's co-determination is in focus and you help to ensure that efforts are carried out, with good quality, according to the assistance decision and implementation plan.

You will assist with, among other things, showering, laundry, cleaning, meals and other services. The tasks also include documentation of measures and health status as well as medical tasks based on delegation of the responsible nurse.

Scheduled working hours day, evening and weekend.

About you

We are looking for you who are trained as a junior nurse and would like to see that you who are looking have experience from elderly care.

In the meeting with residents, good competence is required, based on personal suitability, maturity and a well-developed empathic ability. You show a great commitment to both users and operations in all your relationships and actions. You enjoy working independently, are patient and enterprising, while having a good ability to cooperate and interact with colleagues, relatives and other professions.

In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

Heavy lifting occurs, transfer aids should be used. Furry animals occasionally occur in the workplace so you should not be allergic.

Other:

• The positions are for an indefinite period, full-time, starting from 2026-08-31 or as agreed and the working hours are scheduled day, evening and weekend.
• We check ID documents on the candidates we interview.
• Before offering employment, we ask you to present an extract from the police's criminal record. This is done as a final step in the recruitment process.
