Grubbeskolan is a school for pupils in grades 7-9. We have a schoolyard and an artificial grass pitch that invites activity. Our focus is on knowledge, security and well-being. Grubbeskolan is one of Umeå municipality's training schools, which means that during the academic year we receive student teachers on their practical training, VFU. Your work tasks As a first teacher, you work mainly with teaching and tasks related to teaching. In addition, you are expected to work on delegation from the principal to drive subject development in science and technology subjects (biology, chemistry, engineering and physics). You will be responsible for leading your colleagues in their professional development and will work to develop collegial learning through supervision, seminars and networks. As a first teacher, you will work with the school's systematic quality work and want to develop our schools based on scientific foundations and proven experience. About you We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with the authority to teach science subjects in grades 7-9. It is an advantage, but not a requirement, that you are also qualified in mathematics. You have at least four years of teaching experience. You have demonstrated a particular ability to improve pupils' learning outcomes and to develop your teaching. You are active in peer learning and contribute to the development of the school, based on research and proven experience. You will be the Head of Department for Science and Technology, and experience in chemical management would be an advantage. In your work, you are proactive, structured and have good collaboration skills. To succeed in your role as first teacher, you need to have the ability to lead others and show good judgment.
