We’re now looking for a business development specialist with a specific focus on data protection and information security. This role is ideal for someone who wants to work closely with the operations and make complex requirements understandable and applicable in everyday work. You will provide support to managers, employees, and support functions on issues related to secure and legally compliant information management.

You will be part of the management team within the Support and Care Administration. Here, we work on issues that span several areas of the administration, such as digitization, communication, facility management, emergency preparedness, and investigations. Our mission is to provide comprehensive support to our operations and help make it easier to do things right.

About the Role

In this role, you will work both strategically and practically. You’ll help the organization interpret and translate legal requirements, security requirements, and guiding principles into effective working methods. This may involve data breaches, information classifications, risk and impact assessments, or other analyses and supporting documentation. An important part of the role is to coordinate the work, create structure, and contribute to solutions that work within a complex organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and follow up on the administration’s work with data protection and information security
• Support operations, managers, and support functions in translating requirements into practical work methods
• Develop procedures, processes, and work methods in collaboration with the relevant operations
• Provide support in assessments, prioritizations, and decisions related to data protection and information security
• Work with information classifications, risk and impact assessments in accordance with the GDPR, and personal data breaches
• Provide guidance, training, and buy-in to strengthen knowledge and confidence within the organization
• Collaborate with business units, support functions, and municipal-wide functions, and stay abreast of developments in the field

About You

We are looking for someone with experience managing and developing complex projects within a large organization. You hold an academic degree in, for example, law, IT, systems science, or another relevant field. You find it easy to familiarize yourself with both regulations and operational needs, and you are comfortable switching between analysis, support, and implementation. Experience in data protection and information security is required, as is a strong command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

You work independently and get things done, but do so in a way that builds consensus and fosters good collaboration. You can break down complex issues, make well-considered judgments, and explain what data protection and information security requirements mean in practice. It is advantageous if you have worked in the public sector or in another organization with regulated and complex governance, as well as if you have knowledge of the mission and operating conditions of social services.
