Näringsliv is part of Umeå municipality's City Management Office and we are Umeå municipality's operational and strategic body for business development and growth. The department has broad expertise in development and business issues and works closely with the business community, universities and other actors to create the best possible conditions for Umeå's growth. The overall goal is to bring more jobs and businesses to Umeå! Project Gateway Umeå works with the major challenges linked to skills supply that exist today and in the longer term. The primary target group for the project is primarily small and medium-sized companies in industry, digitization and cultural and creative industries. However, the ambition is that a wide range of employers in Umeå will benefit from the project's resources and activities. Expected results are that participating companies' skills needs are better met and that we have further developed the skills supply and location attraction work in Umeå. We are now looking for a person who wants to work part-time with international talent attraction on a temporary basis until April 30, 2026. Welcome with your application! Your work tasks Your mission will be to create the conditions for small and medium-sized companies to develop their skills supply work. Your efforts will strengthen the companies' reception capacity and structure for introducing new employees but also their employer brand and in particular the internationalization work linked to talents. You will run activities that include support and assistance targeted at international talent, matchmaking, community information, intercultural orientation, couple recruitment, onboarding, etc. You will conduct outreach to identify employers' needs and lead capacity building activities for companies, which may include meetings and workshops, participation in recruitment fairs, networking events and other similar activities. You are the one who provides the talent with good service before, during and after relocation. For international migrants, you will help with community orientation, matchmaking and other activities. You work in a team of four people who are part of the Sales and Marketing unit and you report to the Sales Manager. The position is within Umeå municipality Näringsliv, which has a total of 18 employees. The service is a temporary position of 60% from Oct 1, 2025 until April 30, 2026. About you We are looking for you who have a university degree in HR or other relevant field. If you do not have a university degree, you must have experience in the field of international talent attraction. You have experience in matchmaking and/or study-vocational guidance between employers and talents - especially talents who do not have a relation to the Umeå region today. We also believe that you have experience of working with couple recruitment - i.e. partners and children finding employment, leisure activities, social contexts etc. You also have knowledge of models for couple recruitment to support companies' skills supply work by being able to demonstrate the "whole family concept". We are looking for you who have: drive, ideas and organizational skills to create and follow up activities and events.
