Näringsliv is part of Umeå municipality's City Management Office and we are Umeå municipality's operational and strategic body for business development and growth. The department has broad expertise in development and business issues and works closely with the business community, universities and other actors to create the best possible conditions for Umeå's growth. The overall goal is to bring more jobs and businesses to Umeå! Project Gateway Umeå works with the major challenges linked to skills supply that exist today and in the longer term. The primary target group for the project is primarily small and medium-sized companies in industry, digitization and cultural and creative industries. However, the ambition is that a wide range of employers in Umeå will benefit from the project's resources and activities. Expected results are that participating companies' skills needs are better met and that we have further developed the skills supply and location attraction work in Umeå. We are now looking for a person who wants to work with talent attraction on a longer fixed-term employment until April 30, 2027. Welcome with your application! Your work tasks Your mission will be to create the conditions for small and medium-sized companies to develop their skills supply work. Your efforts will strengthen the companies' reception capacity and structure for introducing new employees but also their employer brand linked to talents. You will work in an outreach capacity to identify employers' needs and lead skills development activities for companies, which may include meetings and workshops, participation in recruitment fairs, networking events and other similar activities. You will work in a team of four people in the Sales and Marketing unit and you will report to the Sales Manager. The position is located within Umeå municipality Näringsliv, which has a total of 18 employees. The service is a fixed-term employment of 100% from Oct 1, 2025 until April 30, 2027. About you We are looking for you who have a university degree in HR, Economics or other relevant field. You have experience of skills management issues - preferably linked to international talent. We also believe that you have experience of working with project-funded activities. You also have knowledge and experience of outreach work, as a large part of the work involves identifying companies' needs for support in skills supply issues. We are looking for you who have: drive, ideas and organizational skills to create and follow up activities and events.
