Do you want to help lead the Port of Umeå into the future? We are now looking for a development-oriented and driving CEO who can continue to develop our role as a logistics hub in northern Sweden.

About Port of Umeå AB

The mission of Port of Umeå is to enable efficient and sustainable transport for the region's business community. Umeå Hamn AB is a municipal company that owns and manages the port's facilities such as quays, railway terminal and port equipment. Umeå Hamn AB is a subsidiary of Umeå Kommunföretag AB and the port of Umeå is operated by the Port of Umeå's subsidiary Kvarken Ports Umeå.

The Port of Umeå is one of the largest ports in the northern Nordic region with an annual cargo handling of approximately 2.5 million tons. Half of the products that pass through the port come from the forest such as kraftliner, wood products and more. A number of construction and development projects are currently underway in the Port of Umeå. Financing is provided by Umeå Hamn AB and the EU.

Your mission

As CEO of Umeå Hamn AB, you will:

• Responsible for, lead and develop the company in line with overall business goals.
• Drive and follow up ongoing and future development projects in the port.
• Ensure that the business complies with applicable laws and regulations.
• Represent the Port of Umeå in contacts with authorities, customers and other stakeholders.
• In addition to the ultimate responsibility for Umeå Hamn AB and its business goals, you as CEO are expected to participate in various collaborations within both the company group Umeå Kommunföretag, as well as in the municipal administration. The CEO reports to the company's board and is part of Umeå Kommunföretag's CEO group. You are based in Umeå.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• Documented experience of high-level leadership, preferably in real estate, construction, logistics and port
• Strong strategic ability and experience of leading change work.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
• Experience of working with public and private actors. We believe that it is important to have knowledge/understanding of politically controlled activities.
• Relevant education

• Businesslike, determined and driven, with the ability to see the big picture.
• Communicative and good at building relationships with various stakeholders at all levels.
• Results-oriented with the ability to drive projects to the finish line.
