Would you like to contribute to Umeå’s development by leading construction projects that create valuable commercial spaces and make a real difference in people’s everyday lives? As a construction project manager with us, you’ll have a strategic and varied role where you’ll be responsible for the implementation of construction projects—from the early stages to the completion of commercial spaces.

We’re now looking for two construction project managers for temporary positions due to parental leave!

About Us

Fastighet is one of Umeå’s largest developers and is responsible for the construction of commercial spaces such as preschools, schools, senior living facilities, and group homes. Within the Construction and Property Technology sector, we manage projects annually with a total value of approximately 900 mnkr.

Here, you’ll have the opportunity to influence, develop, and create value in a role that makes a real difference.

What We Offer

With us, you’ll have a varied and rewarding role where you’ll work on construction projects at various stages. You’ll collaborate with skilled colleagues on an important social mission and be given excellent opportunities for professional development.

Your Responsibilities

As a Construction Project Manager in the real estate sector, you’ll work alongside friendly and knowledgeable colleagues on a varied range of exciting and diverse construction projects. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to independently take responsibility for the execution of construction projects, leading and monitoring both large and small investment and renovation projects. You’ll have the opportunity to be involved throughout the entire process, from the initial assessment to the final inspection and handover to operations—an exciting journey from a holistic perspective!

You will:

  • lead and execute construction projects at various stages
  • be responsible for the project’s timeline, budget, and quality
  • procure and collaborate with contractors and consultants
  • monitor project implementation and ensure that requirements are met
  • collaborate with internal departments and partners

As an employer, we are committed to helping you achieve a good work-life balance. You’ll be offered excellent opportunities for professional development, as the unit’s construction project managers support one another in their daily work and through joint training initiatives to gradually grow and develop both individually and as a team.

About You

To succeed in this role, you have strong communication skills, enabling you to collaborate and provide feedback in a clear and constructive manner. You are a good team player and build strong, long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and other partners. The position requires strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, organize, and manage your schedule.

We also believe you have a strong ability to handle the changing conditions that can arise in a construction project and make appropriate decisions by leveraging your own expertise as well as that of your colleagues. You are also expected to contribute to knowledge sharing and the development of our operations. We place great emphasis on your personal suitability.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A college degree in construction engineering or equivalent
  • Several years of experience as a construction project manager
  • Experience managing projects from start to finish
  • Class B driver’s license
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English

The following are considered a plus:

  • Project management training focused on construction projects, or leadership training
  • Experience in preparing project cost estimates

We look forward to receiving your application!
