We are now looking for a construction project manager for Fastighet.

You’ll become part of an experienced team of construction project managers who support one another in their day-to-day work, share knowledge, and drive development forward together.

Oskar has been working as a construction project manager with us since 2018. About the Role

As a construction project manager, you represent the municipality as the client and ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with agreed-upon goals, requirements, and applicable legislation. You play a central role in managing the entire process for both new construction and renovation projects.

The job involves interacting with many different stakeholders and working closely with organizations, contractors, consultants, and colleagues within the municipality. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• managing construction projects from the early stages through to the completed building
• overseeing the projects’ finances, schedule, and quality
• procuring projects with support from the procurement office
• monitor projects and ensure compliance with requirements, goals, and legislation
• foster good dialogue and collaboration with relevant departments and partners

Here, you’ll have a high degree of autonomy as well as support from experienced colleagues. We believe in growing together and actively work to share experiences and develop skills.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is confident in a project management role and thrives on taking responsibility for both the big picture and the details. 

You are organized and drive your work forward while easily building trusting relationships with various stakeholders. Since construction projects are rarely entirely predictable, you also need to be solution-oriented and able to handle changing circumstances in a constructive manner.

We are constantly working to develop our work methods and use digital tools to support our day-to-day operations. Right now, we’re exploring, among other things, how AI can contribute to increased efficiency and create value in our work. If you have an interest in digital development and new ways of working, we view that as a plus.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. 

We require that you have

• a bachelor’s degree in engineering with a focus on civil engineering or other education and/or experience that we deem equivalent
• several years of experience as a construction project manager or equivalent experience
• experience managing construction projects from start to finish
• a Class B driver’s license
• proficiency in Swedish and English

It is advantageous if you have

• project management training with a focus on construction or leadership
• experience with cost estimation and project budgeting
