The work as a chef As a chef with us, you are responsible for leading and planning the kitchen work and you have a central role in creating high-quality meals. Together with your colleagues in the kitchen, you create a pleasant meal environment for our diners. You will work closely with both colleagues and diners, helping to maintain the high quality of our service. Our kitchen is a place where every dish we serve is a chance to make a difference, whether it's food for preschoolers or for our elderly. We constantly strive to improve both flavors and work processes to make meals the best they can be. This position is located in the Tomtebo area (East 2) and includes 3 schools and 7 preschools. We collaborate with neighboring areas within the South-East so other kitchens may be present. As an outpatient you will cover for both planned and unplanned absences. Your duties: Planning and preparation of meals, including special diets Self-monitoring and invoice management Ordering and purchasing raw materials Washing dishes and maintenance of both kitchen and equipment Daily contact with students, preschoolers, elderly and colleagues Heavy lifting is involved. About you We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in food and is passionate about creating tasty, healthy meals. We believe that you have experience working in a kitchen and that you are a person who is happy to contribute ideas to develop and improve the business. We want you to have: A proven chef training, secondary education or other equivalent training. Experience of working in a commercial kitchen Good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing Basic computer skills, including familiarity with digital tools for ordering and administration B-driving license and access to own car To thrive in the role, we believe you are: Service-oriented and eager to create a positive dining experience for our guests Structured and thorough with a desire to maintain high quality An enterprising team player who likes development and improvement work Upon employment, an extract from the police criminal record must be presented, due to the law on suitability control.
