The Umeå School of Culture is an important organization with the mission to offer the municipality's children and young people a qualified, broad palette of different aesthetic expressions, in school and in their free time. We are a workplace with about 70 employees, where the vast majority are educators and teachers. Kulturskolan offers voluntary cultural activities and is responsible for Kulturlöftet in Umeå municipality. Within the framework of Kulturlöftet, all pupils are entitled to at least one cultural activity per year. Pre-school pupils are also offered cultural activities as far as possible. Your tasks We are now looking for you to join our team of coordinators and communicators, focusing primarily on the Cultural Promise. This involves planning, administration and, to some extent, hosting cultural activities in preschools and schools. You will be part of a team of six people, and within the framework of the Cultural Promise, two people are responsible for the work. You will work with scheduling, bookings, reporting, budget and hosting, among other things. Communication with school staff and cultural stakeholders is an important part of your job. A large part of the job is also to work with influence and participation for our target groups. Evening and weekend work may be required. About you We are looking for you who have a university degree in, or many years of experience in, cultural administration, project management or similar. Experience in the children's culture sector is an advantage. As a person, you should be sociable, service-oriented and able to work easily with other functions within and outside the organization. You are proactive, flexible and solution-oriented. You have organizational skills and are able to keep many balls in the air, are responsible and open to new ideas. You need to be comfortable working in the Microsoft Office suite, preferably with good knowledge of Excel and Sharepoint.
