The assistive technology service is an important part of the health care for the elderly in Umeå municipality. We are responsible for ensuring a safe and effective supply of assistive devices to both care homes and people living in ordinary housing. Needs, requirements and guidelines for assistive devices are constantly evolving - and now we are looking for a committed coordinator who wants to help strengthen and further develop our business. As a coordinator in elderly care, you play a key role in coordinating assistive technology processes, with a focus on basic equipment and inventory management. Here you will contribute to high quality, good structure and even better support for the business! Your tasks Among other things, you will work with: Administration of the municipality's database for assistive devices Purchasing and invoice management Stock management and storage tasks Developing and supervising working methods based on routine Collaboration with assistive technology technicians regarding periodic inspection and to perform some functional control and inspection Assist the assistive technology coordinator with logistics and act as a contact person in connection with reinvestments As a coordinator, you will work in close collaboration with assistive technology coordinators, assistive technology service, medical director for rehabilitation [MAR], unit managers in nursing and care homes and licensed occupational therapist or physiotherapist. You will have a great opportunity to be involved in developing new routines and working methods. You will be based at the central storage facility for assistive devices at Teg, Lärlingsgatan 19. About you We are looking for you who have an upper secondary education and experience of administration, warehouse management and purchasing. Previous experience of working with assistive technology management and assistive technology issues is an advantage. The position involves contact with a large number of people, which requires good ability to communicate both orally and in writing in Swedish. As you are alone in the role, it is important that you have the ability to work independently and to actively drive processes. You should be interested in developing new ways of working and collaborating across organizational boundaries and have good communication skills. A B driving license is a requirement.
