Here you will find the City Library on three floors, the Women's History Museum, several creative workshops, film rooms, rooms for art and much more. Several of the municipality's modern and creative facilities can be rented or borrowed by the public. Väven wants to be a place for everyone, residents and visitors, young and old. Young people are an obvious target group that we want to meet even better - together with you! Therefore, the Cultural Administration is now looking for a committed and creative cultural coordinator who wants to help make the Cultural House Väven a safe, inclusive and meaningful meeting place for young people. About the assignment In the role of cultural coordinator, you will work both relationship-building and coordinating. You will meet young people in Väven's public spaces, plan activities that encourage participation and collaborate with the building's various actors - from libraries and art galleries to cinemas and museums. You will be an important link between young people, cultural opportunities and security-building efforts. As a cultural coordinator with us, you will plan and implement activities for and with young people, be a safe adult in the meeting with visitors and help to create a welcoming atmosphere in Väven. The focus will be on promoting young people's participation, cultural activities and own creativity. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with the house's various actors, municipal activities, associations and authorities. Your work tasks Create and run activities that attract young people to Väven. Build long-term relationships and strengthen young people's participation and influence. Coordinate the cultural administration's youth activities in the building. Collaborate with associations, the police and social services, for example the field group. Train and inspire staff to treat young people in an inclusive way. Work to create security and identify the need to guide young people to support and initiatives. About you We are looking for you with a post-secondary education in social education, social work, pedagogy, culture or other relevant field. You have experience of working in the cultural sector, preferably as a cultural practitioner. You also have experience of youth work in different environments and contexts. An advantage for this position is if you have experience of working with different actors, knowledge of young people's well-being/mental health and/or experience of crime prevention work. Good knowledge of Swedish is a prerequisite for the work, but we look positively on if you also master other languages.
