As a development strategist, you are responsible for creating the conditions for the municipality's strategic public health work. Your tasks As a development strategist, you will coordinate and develop Umeå municipality's work on public health strategy. More specifically, you will; work with coordination of areas that link to the public health policy area position Umeå in the field of public health project manage larger and smaller projects, processes and assignments create collaboration and coordinate project applications with partners, internally and externally be an expert support in various contexts and write political documents for decisions represent Umeå municipality in various contexts relevant to the issues monitor relevant topics to provide others with information about what is going on. About you We are looking for you with an academic education in a relevant field (e.g. public health science, political science, sociology, social work) or other education that the employer considers equivalent. If you have training in project management, we see it as an advantage. The position requires; experience in change management to create social change in collaboration with stakeholders work experience with similar tasks as the position entails experience in project and/or mission management ability to give summary presentations on complex issues to clients (e.g. politicians and civil servants, the public) experience in conducting meetings and workshops good oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English. We would like you to have experience in working in a policy-driven organization working in the field of public health or related areas of activity building contacts and networks, internally and externally at local, regional and national level innovation work and organizational development. You have a strong ability to initiate, adapt and lead change and development efforts. The role requires you to manage rapid change and work to tight deadlines. You will have considerable responsibility for prioritizing your tasks and making decisions, often in consultation with others. You are adept at explaining complex issues in a clear and engaging way, both orally and in writing, in Swedish and English. You are communicative, collaborative and have the ability to both pursue issues independently and actively seek collaboration with others.
