Fastighet represents Umeå Municipality as a property owner and is tasked with acquiring, managing and decommissioning premises for municipal operations. We manage more than one million square meters of schools, health and care facilities, cultural and leisure facilities and more. Real Estate is divided into four departments: Construction and Property Technology, Property Management, Property Operations and Administration and Strategic Support. Right now we are looking for a dedicated electrical engineer with a focus on electricity / electrical safety for property operations. Your work tasks As an electrical engineer with us, you will play a key role in ensuring that our systems and installations in electricity and electrical safety work optimally and comply with current electrical safety standards and regulations. You will be part of the energy management team, run your own projects in the electrical field and be responsible for IT system management, including server management for electricity, locks and passage. You will keep up to date with new technologies and practices in electricity, security, door environments and charging infrastructure, and plan and deliver internal training in this area. The role also includes working on energy measures together with the energy management team and collaborating with operations, employees and external parties to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Together with operational technicians, you will also be involved in troubleshooting and repairs when needed. About you We are looking for you who have experience as a senior fitter or equivalent and you have knowledge of current regulations in the field. We see it as positive if you are authorized / qualified for authorization for low voltage. We also consider it positive if you have experience of working with locks, passageways, alarms, door environments and charging posts. You have good digital skills, are used to working in Microsoft 365 and have experience of project follow-up and business systems. You also have experience of working in project form. You have an interest in new technologies and methods, and you enjoy spreading your knowledge within the organization through, for example, various training initiatives. You have a structured approach and are used to documenting and following up your work. You have good communication skills and you express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing. Since the position involves a lot of contact with our own operations staff, businesses and contractors, you need to be both service-oriented and responsive, and you need to thrive in a role where you work both independently and in a team. The position requires a B driving license.
