The group home at Tomtebo houses users with various disabilities. The users live in their own apartments and share common areas. The home also has a cat, so you should not be allergic.

Your tasks will be
You guide and support people with physical, mental and intellectual disabilities in their everyday lives. You work to enable the individual to participate in a functional everyday life and have a meaningful leisure and/or employment. The work includes hygiene and nursing work as well as usual household chores such as cleaning, laundry and cooking. Your approach is characterized by flexibility, continuity and security. You offer individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the person's own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence.
In your role, you will plan, implement, document, follow up and evaluate interventions on a daily basis, both independently and in collaboration with others. This places high demands on your administrative skills and your ability to plan and structure your work. You will also need to be comfortable working with computers, as this is a natural part of the job. You will also be expected to create and maintain structure to reduce the risk of situations involving threats and violence, while being flexible, thinking on your feet and dealing with unexpected situations.
Initially, you will work primarily with one service user, but you will also work with other service users. Your work with individual users will involve a lot of targeted work and require very good dexterity. The work will involve both activities outside the home and activities that you perform together at the home. The activities can vary between, for example, exercise, swimming, going to the movies and playing games.
Working hours are day/evening and weekend duty every other weekend. Co-planning with other activities occurs.
The work may involve situations of threat and violence. Heavy lifting is involved, and mobility aids must be used. Pets are present in the workplace, which means that you should not be allergic to furry animals.
About you
You have a good ability to cooperate and it is of the utmost importance that you have a professional approach to users and other actors around our users. You are educational, committed and have a willingness to share our values and work towards set goals and to work with continuous improvements. You as a person should be driven by a desire to see development and change and work accordingly.
You should have a high level of patience and be able to work towards long-term goals without losing focus. In order for you to be able to communicate with users and their networks, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
You will need to be able to communicate clearly and directly with service users, while standing by decisions that have been made. The pace can be fast at times, so it is important that you are able to remain calm, handle stress well and think quickly when needed. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Requirements:
Minimum high school diploma alt. USK education at komvux level
B driving license
Meritorious:
Nursing education, pedagogical education or other education that the employer considers relevant
Previous experience of working in disability care
Experience of flame-effective treatment in connection with threat and violence situations
Experience of working with people with autism
