
The Employment and Integration Department is responsible for the integration of new arrivals and labor market issues within Umeå municipality. We help with guidance, create opportunities and contribute to new pathways for people who need support to enter and continue in society and working life and contribute to the supply of skills from both a local and regional perspective.
We are now looking for a labor market consultant for our unit Matching Office!
Your tasks
As part of the Employment and Integration Department (AMI), the Matching Office is the department's hub for employer relations and where people are updated to be matched with, for example, internships, language internships, work trials, employment or other individual needs in a workplace in the private sector, public sector and associations. The matching office cooperates with the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, Region Västerbotten, the Prison and Probation Service, the social services or one of the department's other units.
The work involves relationship building with employers, networking, outreach contacts, problem solving, teamwork and support for participants and employers.
Other tasks can be to hold seminars on the labor market, application documents and the like that are about preparing people for the labor market.
About you
You take great personal responsibility and have a well-developed self-leadership. You have good self-awareness, are confident in yourself and create trusting relationships through an empathetic and respectful approach. You have the ability to look ahead, see opportunities and identify development needs from a societal perspective.
The work is complex and characterized by many interfaces, for example with employers, authorities, colleagues in different parts of the organization and participants in need of support. This requires you to be creative, flexible and solution-oriented. You have a well-established network of contacts or the ability to build and maintain networks.
You have knowledge of different paths to establishment in the labor market and enjoy working in teams. You believe in the abilities of individuals and want to actively contribute to skills provision and more inclusive workplaces. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
