Umeå Municipality’s Real Estate Division is one of Umeå’s largest developers and property managers. We work with new construction, renovation, and maintenance of our facilities. Together with two engineering colleagues, you will be responsible for establishing and updating our maintenance plan as well as for technical documentation, for example by quality-assuring our project documentation.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will work with both maintenance planning and the management of our technical documentation. You’ll play a key role in creating structure and a long-term perspective, contributing your expertise to both day-to-day tasks and more complex projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • share responsibility for developing, updating, and following up on our maintenance plan
  • support the planning engineer during inspections and technical investigations, for example by writing reports with proposed actions and cost estimates
  • manage and update maintenance and production plans, as well as handle technical documentation in accordance with applicable procedures—this work is primarily carried out in our systems, such as Pythagoras, Antura, and our digital archive
  • using our 3D scanner, prepare the necessary documentation to ensure the quality of technical documentation, such as as-built drawings
  • collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and other partners

About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong interest in technology who thrives in a role that combines analysis, structure, and collaboration. You’re meticulous and responsible, have a holistic perspective, and prioritize tasks effectively. You communicate clearly, collaborate well with people from various disciplines, and take a solution-oriented approach to your work. We place great emphasis on personal fit.

Requirements

  • A college degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience in maintenance planning and property management
  • Good understanding of building physics and technical installations
  • Experience working with property or maintenance management systems (e.g., Pythagoras, Plania, Incit Xpand)
  • Class B driver’s license
  • Fluency in Swedish, as well as good knowledge of English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training in CAD
  • Experience in public or municipal property management and inspections
  • Practical experience with construction trades
