We are now looking for a deputy environmental strategist! Your tasks In this role, you are responsible for driving and further developing Umeå municipality's internal environmental work. This means following up on the municipality's environmental goals and action programs and providing support and advice to the municipality's activities in environmental and sustainability issues. The work includes both strategic and operational efforts, such as coordination of municipality-wide consultation responses and coordination of revisions of action plans and action programs under the Environmental Code, such as the waste plan. You also contribute with environmental and climate expertise in the municipality's procurement processes. An important part of the assignment is to coordinate and coordinate work across administrative boundaries and in collaboration with municipal companies. The role also requires the ability to manage the interaction between political governance and the civil service organization. About you To succeed and thrive in the role, you need to have good analytical and strategic skills. You are structured and quality conscious, but can also see the big picture. As you will have contacts mainly with politicians and officials, you need to be responsive, communicative and easy to create good relationships.
