As a nurse in Umeå municipality, you work with healthcare interventions, you handle medicines, palliative care, documentation, assessments and supervise other staff. You are responsible for ensuring that the medical interventions work well for our patients and coordinate contacts with doctors and other professionals in primary care and hospitals. Home care Home care is responsible for home care, home visits, all rehabilitation and habilitation, as well as assistive devices for ordinary housing, including prescription of assistive devices and certificates for housing adaptation. This responsibility applies 24 hours a day for people over 18 living in their own home. The goals of home care include strengthening the individual's ability to live an independent life and to offer good and safe health care, as well as increasing the person's experience of good quality. To achieve the goals, three focus areas have been identified that set the direction of the work. These are: health-promoting and rehabilitative working methods, co-creation and coordination and division of responsibilities. Umeå North short-term center Umeå norra korttidscenter is organizationally included under home care, where nurses are responsible for medical interventions up to primary care level. The short-term care center offers care for a limited period for people who, for various reasons, cannot have their needs met at home. This may involve rehabilitation after a hospital stay, the need for relief for relatives, greater nursing needs or the time spent waiting for special housing. The aim is to strengthen the individual's ability to return to their everyday life at home, with the support of home care and home nursing. About you We are looking for you who are an experienced nurse. Perhaps you are currently working part-time or have just retired? Experience from working in home care and/or elderly care is desirable. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. You have good initiative and are good at thinking outside the box. You have the ability to work independently, while recognizing the importance of collaboration with different professionals, including the person themselves. Of course, you have a good, respectful attitude and are responsive and open in your contacts with both the persons being cared for and their relatives. You are good at cooperating and want to contribute to good communication and collaboration with other actors. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation, you need to have a good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. A B driving license is required. In the workplace, there may be furry animals and people who smoke so you should not be allergic. Heavy lifting may occur but aids are available. Other information Hourly employment with service when needed, access takes place by agreement. Interviews, selection and appointment are ongoing.
