The Cleaning and Facilities Services department is responsible for cleaning the municipality’s facilities, with a focus on daily cleaning and scheduled maintenance. We also offer operational services, internal mail handling, and janitorial services. We have approximately 350 employees, and together we clean 510,000 square meters daily in schools, senior living facilities, and other municipal facilities.

The role of a janitor

As a janitor with us, you play a vital role in creating clean, safe, and sustainable environments. For us, facility maintenance isn’t just a job—it’s part of creating a better experience for those who spend time in our schools, preschools, senior living facilities, sports arenas, offices, and other municipal facilities. We are therefore committed to continuously improving our cleaning methods and ensuring that our employees have access to modern tools and cleaning systems.

Your responsibilities:

• Daily cleaning, scheduled deep cleaning, and floor care.
• Operating cleaning equipment.
• Maintaining cleaning equipment and machines.
• Ordering cleaning supplies.
• Daily interaction with people using the facilities.
• Quality control of your own work to ensure we maintain high cleaning standards.

About You

We’re looking for someone who values organization and wants to contribute to improvement. You enjoy working both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. If you have an eye for detail and like to work in a structured manner, this is the job for you!

We require that you have:

• A high school diploma.
• Experience in facility management in the public sector.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, to communicate and follow instructions, as well as basic knowledge of English.
• A Class B driver’s license and access to your own car.

Training in SRY, PRYL, or similar programs is a plus.
