Individual and family care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Family treatment is an outpatient unit for children and young people aged 0-18 and their families, some interventions are also provided up to the age of 21. The unit works to implement various types of decisions granted assistance in the form of family treatment, parental support and other interventions aimed at children, young people and their families and young adults. The family treatment unit consists of about 40 employees who work with different methods and age groups. The unit is led by two unit managers with responsibilities divided according to treatment methodology, target group and target group age. Since the fall of 2025, the unit has a group leader. The family treatment is based on the following methods: IHF (Intensive home-based family treatment), FFT (Functional family therapy), Crime as a lifestyle, SIG (social intervention group), KIBB (Cognitive integrated treatment at risk of child abuse), Trappan, PYC (Parenting young children) and Safer children. The unit's therapists also work with youth services, youth care, drug treatment and support for parents with placed children/young people. Your work tasks We are now looking for 1-2 family therapists with special affiliation in the youth group who work with the target group of young people 13-18 (21) years based on different methods / forms of collaboration (IHF, FFT, SIG, young offenders and so on). At present, we are mainly looking for employees for the team that works with young offenders, mediation and with the SIG intervention. However, you are expected to be able to work across team boundaries and in family treatment interventions aimed at the target group of young people aged 13-18. About you We are looking for you who have a social worker education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. We would like to see that you have training in BBIC and knowledge / experience of working with young people with norm-breaking and / or relationship-impairing behaviors who are at risk of developing crime and crime. We think you have experience of working with children, young people and families in the social services' executive activities/open care and/or exercise of authority. We believe that you have experience in treatment work. If you have not worked as a therapist, you need to have otherwise worked with individuals in processes/change work. You are a confident, courageous and communicative person who is easy to collaborate at all levels. As a family therapist, you need to be structured, flexible, responsive, committed and enjoy working with others in a team to achieve the best for our children, young people and their families.
