Individual and family care in Umeå municipality wants, through closeness and interaction, to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life. Family treatment is an outpatient unit for children and young people aged 0-18 and their families, some interventions are also provided up to the age of 21. The unit works to implement various types of decisions granted assistance in the form of family treatment, parental support and other interventions aimed at children, young people and their families and young adults. The family treatment unit consists of about 40 employees who work with different methods and age groups. The family treatment unit consists of about 40 employees and is led by two unit managers and two group leaders. Operations are divided into two working groups based on age and method. Family treatment is based on the following methods: IHF (Intensive home-based family treatment), FFT (Functional family therapy), Crime as a lifestyle, SIG (social intervention group), KIBB (Cognitive integrated treatment at risk of child abuse), Trappan, PYC (Parenting young children) and Safer children. The unit's therapists also work with youth services, youth care, drug treatment and support for parents with placed children/young people. We are now looking for two family therapists with special affiliation in: - the team working with children 0-12 years - the team working with KIBB and Trappan However, you are expected to be able to work across team boundaries when needed. Your tasks As a family treatment worker, you work with outpatient care interventions where the focus is on strengthening children's security and families' ability to care. You work with treatment interventions partly based on manual-based methods in close collaboration with children, parents, social workers and other collaborative partners. The work is done both individually but mainly together with colleagues in teams. The team working with children 0-12 uses, among other things, the Parenting Young Children (PYC) method, which is a parental support program for parents with cognitive difficulties, and the Safer Children method, which aims to reduce negative interaction, prevent risk situations and strengthen the relationship between children and parents. Work with families takes place both in the home environment and on the premises. The team that works with families where there is a risk of or has been physical abuse of children works with the Cognitive Integrated Treatment for Child Abuse (KIBB) method. The team also works with the Trappan model for children who have witnessed violence in the family. About you We are looking for you who have a social worker education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. We would like you to have training in BBIC and one of the methods Trappan, KIBB, Tryggare barn and/or PYC. We think that you have experience of working with children, young people and families in the social services' provider activities/open care and/or exercise of authority. It is advantageous that you have experience of treatment work. If you have not worked as a therapist, you need to have otherwise worked with individuals in processes/change work. You are a confident, courageous and communicative person who is easy to cooperate at all levels. As a family worker, you need to be structured, flexible, responsive, committed and enjoy working with others in a team to achieve the best for our children, young people and their families. We attach great importance to personal suitability. A B driving license is a requirement. An extract from the police criminal record must be presented upon employment.
