In Umeå municipality, preschools and compulsory schools are organized into five school districts based on age and activities. Each unit is headed by a principal responsible for day-to-day operations, while area managers have overall responsibility for each school area. The administrative management office is located in the City Hall area and is headed by the Director of Education for Pre- and Compulsory Education. We are now looking for a sharp administrator for the Management Office! You will be part of the Administration Office and the Finance Department, led by the Chief Financial Officer. Read more about our activities here! Your tasks As an administrator, you will provide close administrative support to the management team. The work is varied and includes routine tasks as well as more advanced tasks and development work as shown below: Purchasing and invoice management Invoicing Accounting and bookkeeping Documentation Producing requested documentation/templates/spreadsheets Administration of government grants About you We are looking for you who have an approved university preparatory upper secondary education, preferably with an economic focus. You also have a few years of experience in full-time administrative tasks and good computer skills. Experience with Proceedo, Visma RoR and Excel would be an advantage. As a person, you are service-oriented, flexible, structured with good problem-solving skills. You can work independently with several tasks in parallel where you have your own drive, can see the big picture and make relevant priorities in the work. You are proactive and decisive and have a rational approach to work and can quickly learn new computer systems and regulations and create routines that contribute to improvements and increased quality of work that you help to implement. To thrive with us, you are stress-resistant and unpretentious and can work with both simpler administrative tasks and more advanced assignments from time to time. You have good teamwork skills and a service-oriented approach. We attach great importance to personal qualities. The position requires very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
