Umeåregionens brandförsvar covers the municipalities of Umeå, Vindeln and Robertsfors and works with preventive fire protection measures, rescue and safety. Our rescue missions vary and can include everything from fires and traffic accidents to medical emergencies and suicide incidents. We are now looking for driven and committed firefighters who want to help shape the future of emergency services. Your work tasks As a firefighter with us, you will: - limit damage to people, property and the environment during rescue operations - prevent accidents through training and information - participate in and lead development work, mainly on rescue methods and tactics - carry out operational and maintenance work to ensure our operational capability - participate in and lead exercises for emergency responders to strengthen preparedness About you We are looking for people who want to make a real difference in an important social function and who are driven by commitment and responsibility. Requirements Good physical ability Ability to swim Driving license C (required at the latest at the start of employment) Ability to communicate in both Swedish and English SMO training and experience from the profession as a full-time firefighter is something we look favorably on. The work is scheduled and includes day, evening, night and weekend shifts. Those who progress in the recruitment process will undergo tests held at the fire station in Umeå. You will choose to participate either on March 9 or 16. More information about the test days will be sent out in the next step of the recruitment process.
