The Umeå Region Fire Brigade includes the municipalities of Umeå, Vindeln and Robertsfors. We work with preventive fire protection measures, rescue and safety. Rescue missions vary and can involve anything from fires and traffic accidents to providing first aid. We are currently in an exciting phase where we are building another full-time station in Umeå and in connection with that we will also grow in the number of employees. Your tasks Your tasks will be to: Limit damage to people, property and the environment during rescue operations Prevent accidents through, among other things, external training and information efforts Carry out operational and maintenance work Participate in and lead exercises for emergency responders About you As our rescue teams often face complex situations, you need to be a confident and stable person. We are looking for people with a high level of commitment and who have a natural aptitude for a service-oriented and respectful approach. Cooperation and problem solving are some of the qualities we value highly and need in a team. To be able to apply for the job, you must have at least an upper secondary school diploma and a B driving license as well as a good physique and be able to swim. You should be able to communicate in Swedish and it is also good if you master other languages. We look favorably on SMO training and C driving license when applying but it is not a requirement. Other positions Summer temporary position, full-time, from approx. 2026-05-25 until 2026-08-31. Scheduled working hours day, evening, night and weekend. For those who are selected, tests will be conducted for one day at the fire station in Umeå. The test days will be conducted in October.
