We’re currently looking for positive and enthusiastic aquatic fitness instructors for our Navet aquatic center, located in downtown Umeå.

At Navet, we offer a variety of aquatic exercise classes in different formats to suit everyone. Navet is one of Sweden’s largest aquatic fitness centers and offers many unique aquatic classes, such as AquaRide (specially designed bikes that can be used in water) and Aqua Gymstick (which combines a barbell and resistance bands).

Your Responsibilities

As a water exercise instructor, you’ll lead, inspire, and instruct our members in an educational and safe manner. You’ll stay up to date on new training methods and constantly strive to develop in your role as a group fitness instructor. You’re expected to prepare for your classes and participate in the training sessions offered. We’re looking for someone who can teach 1–2 regular classes per week during the day and in the evening starting September 1.

The job involves heavy lifting.

About You

We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of our cheerful team of instructors and who is passionate about motivating others to be physically active. You’re a driven, responsible, and self-motivated person. You love being challenged and growing, and as an aquatic fitness instructor at Navet, you’ll have the opportunity to do just that. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

We expect applicants to have swimming skills and lifesaving skills. Previous experience leading and instructing group exercise classes, as well as CPR training, is preferred but not required. Don’t have the necessary training but think you’re the right person for the job? We’ll train you in the various exercise formats.

We are currently looking for people who can lead the following classes:

• Aqua
• Aqua Yoga
• AquaRide
• Aqua Power
• Aroma Yoga (hot yoga) – held in a sauna
• Aqua Gymstick
• Crawl and fitness swimming

Other

• Three positions: fixed-term contracts, part-time with varying work loads between 10–30%.
• Start date as of September 1, 2026, or as agreed, through June 6, 2027
• Scheduled work hours: days, evenings, and weekends
• In accordance with the Act on Suitability Checks, an extract from the police criminal record must be presented upon hiring.
