The pre-school and primary school administrative unit consists of two parts, an authority part and the pre-school and primary school administrators. The authority section handles administration in a number of areas, e.g. school transport, child and pupil placements, school choice, etc. The other part of the administration is handled by the school administrators who work at our preschools and compulsory schools. In total, almost 50 people work in these two areas. We are now looking for an administrative unit manager for the school administrators. If you would like to help lead the transformation of our coordinated administrative support organization for pre-schools and primary schools, please apply! Your tasks will be You will be one of two heads of unit within the administrative unit. You are the immediate superior of approximately 30 people who provide administrative support to the municipal pre- and compulsory schools and who work on behalf of the principal or area manager. Your task will be to manage, coordinate and streamline administrative processes at an overall level and to develop the administrative support provided to pre-schools and primary schools. You need to focus on creating good conditions for dialog between you, your colleagues, principals and area managers who your colleagues support in their work. The work also involves mapping and understanding the needs for administrative processes that exist in pre-schools and primary schools. In your work, you will work closely with the other head of unit within the unit who is responsible for staff exercising authority. You will report to the Deputy Director of Education for Pre-schools and be part of the management team for the pre-school and primary school management team. About you We are looking for you who have a university education, preferably with a pedagogical focus, as well as knowledge of the school legislation that governs the education system. You will have experience of managing staff working in an administrative capacity, and you must also have worked in schools and/or the education sector. We want you to have experience of working in a politically driven organization, where an understanding of political processes and decision-making is essential. As the organization is in a process of change, we would like to see a manager with experience in leading change and who appreciates development work. As a person, you are analytical, structured and proactive. You are also responsive and have a very good ability to build good relationships and balance the interests of different stakeholders. You see things from different perspectives and see opportunities for new solutions. The work involves a lot of communication and you therefore need to have good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing in Swedish and you also have good digital skills.
