Work tasks As a unit manager in Health and Medical Care for the Elderly, you have staff, budget and work environment responsibility for 20-30 employees, mainly physiotherapists and occupational therapists. You work in close collaboration with other unit managers in the business and you are part of the management team for Health Care for the Elderly. The duties of a unit manager include: managing day-to-day work and creating the conditions for staff to develop care-related processes developing and streamlining collaboration with the region working to ensure that our objectives are achieved and that agreed activities are implemented focusing on regular follow-up of activities provide feedback on the work carried out In this role, you will also be responsible for managing deviations and ensuring that patient safety procedures are followed in accordance with the guidelines and procedures of the medical officer for rehabilitation (MAR). You will also work with the planning and development of skills enhancement initiatives for the business. As support in your work, you have your unit manager colleagues, you are part of a team where you have a dialog and collaborate on common issues. You will report to the Head of Operations, who will follow up and support you in your work. There are also support functions in administration, finance and HR. We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist or occupational therapist with several years of experience. We would like to see that you have experience of, or knowledge of, municipal health care and that you have previous experience as a manager/leader. Previous experience in municipal health care is an advantage. As a person, you are confident in your leadership role and enjoy working closely with employees and colleagues. You are structured, unpretentious and able to prioritize in pressured situations, and see your mission from a holistic perspective with the individual person in focus. In the role, you will be responsible for producing reports, procedures and information for employees and therefore familiarity with Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
