The administration has a total of about 200 employees. Your work tasks As head of unit, you have staff and budget responsibility for around 12 employees. You will be responsible for the quality and progress of detailed planning cases in line with the municipality's long-term objectives. Together in the department's management team, we apply a shared responsibility for the long-term development of the department and ensure an efficient and high-quality process. Together, we are responsible for maintaining a trusting dialog with the private and public actors involved, as well as the municipality's politics and other administrations. About you We are looking for someone who can represent the municipality in a trustworthy and positive manner. Requirements: Relevant college/university degree in urban planning or other education deemed sufficient by the employer. Several years of work experience in urban planning and participation in municipal planning processes. Good knowledge of relevant legislation (preferably the Planning and Building Act and the Environmental Code) as well as ordinances, regulations and general advice in municipal spatial planning. Good ability to express yourself well both orally and in writing in Swedish. Desirable experience: Management experience with staff responsibility. Several years of experience as a plan architect with a focus on detailed planning and urban development. Experience in change management. Experience in driving or actively participating in the development of processes/procedures/activities supported by new technologies. Experience of working in a policy-driven organization.
