Your tasks You are one of the department's two heads of unit. Together with your immediate superior, the Program Manager, you will lead, plan and develop the work of the activities. As Head of Unit, you will be responsible for the budget, working environment and staff. The activities within the Events and Stages Unit are: Culture for seniors consists of two employees who offer culture in its broadest sense to contribute to increased quality of life and public health. Culture for seniors creates qualitative cultural meetings, workshops and smaller and larger events for the municipality's seniors to take part in art and culture, works for increased participation, own creation and exciting meetings. The janitorial team consists of five employees who mainly work with book and mail handling, alarms and locks, issuing access cards, transportation, maintenance of furnishings and equipment, purchasing of consumables and furnishing and other services at events in Väven. The group also includes a stage technician. The cultural reception is staffed by two permanent employees as well as hourly employees and is responsible for general information about Väven and our program activities, help with copying and other services, ticket sales and tours in Väven. The Cultural Reception is also responsible for the exhibition activities in Kommunhörnan. Communication consists of two employees who work with communication and marketing of Väven's activities, via in-house channels such as digital screens, via Väven's website and via social channels and media contacts. The booking team consists of six employees who are responsible for booking, planning and implementing major and minor events mainly in Väven but also in the public space. These include guest performances, festivals, conferences, cross-municipal projects and major in-house events. As head of unit, you are part of the Program Department's management team, where we work together to develop the Program Department's areas of activity. About you We are looking for you who have a relevant academic education, preferably in the cultural field. You must have management experience, preferably with staff, budget and operational responsibility. You should also have worked with arrangements and events in the cultural field and have very good administrative skills. Experience in human resources management and scheduling would be an advantage. We would like you to have an understanding of issues in technology/IT and/or stage technology. Experience of working in a municipal/political organization is an advantage, as is previous experience of communication issues. If you have some form of managerial or leadership training, we also see this as an advantage. For this assignment, we are looking for a confident leader with a deep-rooted interest in culture. It is also important that you have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, both in Swedish and English.
