The Employment and Integration Department is responsible for the municipality's labor market issues such as support for job seekers in cooperation, municipal activity responsibility, wage-support employment and holiday jobs. We are also responsible for the reception of new arrivals for settlement, reception of Ukrainian refugees and vulnerable EU citizens in Umeå municipality. Arena för prövning offers training places for participants who need support to progress towards self-sufficiency. Arena för prövning can offer a range of different work activities in different departments - where each participant has the opportunity to be tested based on the basic requirements of working life. The business is characterized by an environmentally conscious recycling approach - and every day a large amount of things are handled where the goal is to reuse them. These things are sold via the return shop and construction recycling with a total shop area of about 1900 square meters, making Norrland's largest recycling shop. We are now looking for a Unit Manager for Arena for trial. Welcome to apply! Your mission As Head of Unit, you are responsible for the management, planning, coordination and development of the unit's activities. You will be responsible for the unit, finances, staff and work environment for around 25 employees. As head of unit, you work in close collaboration with our partners, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Public Employment Service, Region Västerbotten and the Prison and Probation Service. The position means, among other things, that you are currently the manager of parts of the Arena for Trial activities together with the current head of unit. Together with your unit manager colleagues, you are part of the Labor Market and Integration management team and you report to the head of operations. About you We are looking for you who have: a university degree with a social, behavioral, rehabilitation or educational focus experience of working in public administration/political activities experience of work aimed at work rehabilitation and labor market initiatives and thus knowledge of conditions in working life and ways to establish themselves in the labor market good knowledge of our cooperation partners (Försäkringskassan, Arbetsförmedling, Region Västerbotten, Kriminalvården) and the local labor market experience of leading development processes experience of working with people in need of support and knowledge of mental illness, rehabilitation and disabilities good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing in Swedish It is advantageous to have experience of project management and development around reuse work and trade. We would like you to be trained in one of Supported's methods and Empowerment. The business is certified according to ISO 9001, so we would like you to have experience of working with quality management according to this system. Leading in collaboration based on your own mission with a common goal requires the ability to understand your own role, your own mission and at the same time work for the whole and other parties in the collaboration.
