Kulturskolan i Umeå offers semester courses, short courses, holiday activities and open activities, and is responsible for Skapande skola in Umeå municipality. We are now looking for a substitute sharp music teacher in violin! Your tasks We are looking for a dedicated violin teacher for our El Sistema activities at Ersboda. You will teach violin during the day on Wednesdays and Thursdays, both in class and in our El Sistema orchestra. You will be part of a dedicated team together with other string teachers, and teach in pairs with a cello teacher in the classroom. The position also involves participation in joint meetings, planning and performance. About you We are looking for you who: Have a university degree in pedagogy with a focus on violin, or equivalent qualifications. Have experience of teaching in the field of music. Are confident in your role as an educator and want to be a social and human role model. Have a good ability to meet children and young people with different needs and backgrounds. Are a flexible, proactive and cooperative person. Can individualize your teaching according to the needs of each student. Are open-minded and curious, and want to develop together with colleagues through a continuous exchange of methods and ideas. We consider it an advantage if you have experience of El Sistema or similar activities. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
