Holmsund’s nursing and assisted living facility is centrally located in Holmsund, in close proximity to a health center, a pharmacy, and a grocery store. We offer plenty of opportunities to spend time outdoors thanks to balconies, patios, and a shared courtyard. The building has three floors and houses 59 apartments. Holmsund’s nursing and care home consists of six units: three group homes, a short-term care unit, a service housing wing, and a group home located in Obbola.

We are now looking for a registered nurse!

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse with Umeå Municipality, you’ll be responsible for providing health and medical care to our residents. Your duties will include medical assessments, wound care, medication management, documentation, and supervising nursing staff. You’ll ensure that medical care is of high quality and runs smoothly in daily operations.

In this role, you will work closely with care staff, paramedical professionals, and the manager of the nursing home, as well as coordinate contact with doctors and other professionals in both primary care and inpatient care.

Work hours are during the day and on weekends.

About You

As a nurse in the municipality, you and your nursing colleagues possess the highest level of medical expertise. Therefore, it is important that you are comfortable taking personal responsibility, have a strong sense of initiative, and contribute to effective communication in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Naturally, you treat patients and their families with kindness and respect.

Requirements

• Licensed nurse
• Class B driver’s license
• Good command of spoken and written Swedish and English
• Valid criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced training in geriatric care, community health, or psychiatry

Pets (dogs and cats) and people who smoke may be present at the workplace, so you should not have allergies. Heavy lifting may be required, but assistive devices are available.
