For Health and Medical Care for the Elderly in the Municipality of Umeå, we are now seeking nurses to be assigned to Unit 2 at Prästsjögården, a new unit specializing in end-of-life care and individuals with extensive care and nursing needs.

About the workplace
Prästsjögården is a nursing and care home in Umeå Municipality. In Unit 2, we are currently developing a program where safety, continuity, symptom relief, participation, and quality of life are central to our care.
Care is provided within the framework of municipal health and medical care at the primary care level. This means that, as a nurse, you will work closely with patients and the team, focusing on assessments, follow-ups, planning, and providing support in challenging care situations.
The unit has 11 beds and serves individuals receiving palliative care, where there is a significant need for closeness, structure, and coordination. The work is carried out in close collaboration with nursing staff, occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, social services/government agencies, managers, and family members.
Your Role
As a nurse in Unit 2, you will have a challenging and meaningful role where your clinical expertise, your interpersonal skills, and your ability to create a sense of security are of great importance.
You will perform standard nursing duties within municipal health care, with a particular focus on individuals at the end of life and those with complex care needs.
