In Unit 2, we are currently developing a program where safety, continuity, symptom relief, participation, and quality of life are central to our care. The unit has 11 beds and is designed for individuals receiving palliative care, where there is a significant need for closeness, structure, and coordination. The work is carried out in collaboration with nurses, an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, doctors, social services/authorities, managers, and family members.

Your Responsibilities

With a professional approach and a warm, caring attitude, you will assist our residents in their daily lives. The focus is on the residents’ right to participate in decision-making, and you will help ensure that care is provided to a high standard, in accordance with care decisions and implementation plans. You will assist with tasks such as personal hygiene, laundry, housekeeping, meals, and other services. Your duties will also include documenting care measures and health status, as well as performing medical tasks as delegated by the responsible nurse.

About You

We’re looking for someone who approaches people with empathy, attentiveness, and a genuine commitment. You thrive in a role where you take responsibility, collaborate with others, and are eager to contribute ideas that help develop the organization and make a real difference. You have a patient approach and a positive demeanor in all situations, even when the pace is fast or conditions change rapidly. The role also involves contact with various government agencies, which means you work in a structured and meticulous manner and are confident in documentation and follow-up. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Certified nursing assistant
• Experience working in health care and social services
• Good command of spoken and written Swedish, so you can communicate with patients, family members, and colleagues; write and review care documentation; and receive medication delegation

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with medication administration

Heavy lifting is required; patient transfer aids must be used. There are pets (cats) at the facility, so you should not be allergic.
