Elderly care services in the Municipality of Umeå aim to be a resource that, through proximity and collaboration, empowers and strengthens people’s ability to live independently.

Tegs Nursing and Care Home is beautifully situated along the Ume River, about 2 km from downtown Umeå, close to lovely green spaces. The facility consists of 102 apartments spread across 10 units and features a café, a common room for activities and entertainment, and a light therapy room.

We are expanding and are now looking for several nursing assistants to join our team!

Your Responsibilities

With a professional approach and a friendly demeanor, you will assist our residents in their daily lives. Resident autonomy is a key focus, and you’ll help ensure that care is provided to a high standard, in accordance with care decisions and implementation plans.

You’ll assist with tasks such as showering, laundry, cleaning, meals, and other services. Your duties will also include documenting care activities and health status, as well as performing medical tasks as delegated by the responsible nurse.

Scheduled work hours include days, evenings, and weekends.

About You

In your interactions with residents, you must be empathetic, driven, and solution-oriented, and demonstrate personal maturity. You demonstrate a strong commitment to both the individual and the organization in all your interactions and actions. You thrive on working independently and have a strong ability to collaborate and coordinate with colleagues, family members, and other professionals. We place great emphasis on your personal suitability.

Requirements:

• Certified nursing assistant
• Experience in nursing care
• Good command of spoken and written Swedish, to communicate with clients, family members, and colleagues; to write and review care documentation; and to receive medication delegation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in elder care

Heavy lifting is involved; patient-handling aids must be used. Smoking and pets may be present, so you should not have allergies.
