Bruksbacken is a municipal nursing and assisted living facility located in a scenic area along the Sävarån River, just a few minutes’ walk from downtown Sävar, where you’ll find shops and a pharmacy. The surroundings offer pleasant outdoor spaces with walking paths and seating areas for residents to enjoy the outdoors. Bruksbacken consists of five two-story buildings, divided into 5 units and comprising a total of 52 apartments.

Your Responsibilities

Through a warm and professional approach, you will assist our residents in their daily lives. You will provide personal care and, as delegated by the nurse in charge, perform medical tasks.

Your responsibilities also include documenting care interventions and health status. You will also serve as a point of contact, which means you’ll be responsible for ensuring that the goals and interventions outlined in the care decision and implementation plan are communicated and carried out to a high standard, with a focus on the resident’s right to participate in decision-making.

Work shifts are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong professional competence based on maturity, a sense of responsibility, and well-developed empathy. You demonstrate a strong commitment to both residents and the organization, which is evident in your relationships and actions. You work independently and demonstrate patience and initiative in various situations. You also have a strong ability to collaborate and work together with colleagues, family members, and other professionals. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Experience working in elder care
• Experience in dementia care
• Experience with medication administration
• Good spoken and written Swedish skills, to communicate with residents, family members, and colleagues, to write and review care documentation, and to receive medication assignments

Pets (dogs) and smoking may be present in the workplace, so you should not have any allergies. Some tasks involve heavy lifting; mobility aids must be used.
