The Elderly Care Services in the Municipality of Umeå aim to be a resource that, through proximity and collaboration, empowers and strengthens people’s ability to live independently.
Holmsund Nursing and Care Home is centrally located in Holmsund, right next to a health center, a pharmacy, and a grocery store. We offer ample opportunities for outdoor activities thanks to balconies, patios, and a shared courtyard. The building has three floors and houses 59 apartments. Holmsund Nursing and Care Home consists of six units: three nursing and care wards, a short-term care unit, a service housing unit, and a nursing and care ward located in Obbola.
One of the most outstanding features of Holmsund Nursing and Care Home is our staff. We have dedicated individuals who are passionate about creating a safe and home-like environment for our residents. The staff consists of a wonderful mix of experience and youthful enthusiasm. We view our diverse age range and cultural backgrounds as a strength.
We operate according to a person-centered approach, where our services are based on the needs of our residents. Our facility consists of five units in Holmsund, as well as one unit in Obbola.
We are now looking for a new colleague to join our team in the short-term care unit!
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for providing our residents with high-quality, safe, and secure care based on their individual needs. Your duties will include assisting with personal care, meals, medication management, activities, and outdoor outings. As delegated by the nurse in charge, you will perform medical tasks and be responsible for documenting completed interventions, actions, and the residents’ health status in accordance with applicable procedures.
You contribute to a meaningful and safe daily life through a professional approach and a warm, caring attitude. As a point of contact, you will focus on the residents’ participation and self-determination, and ensure that care is provided to a high standard in accordance with care decisions and implementation plans.
At our short-term care facility, you will work with older adults who need to stay for a period of time for rehabilitation, assessment, or respite care. Here, we work as a close-knit team to find the best solutions for each individual.
Work shifts are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends.
About You
We are looking for someone with experience in healthcare and an interest in rehabilitation work. We consider it an asset if you are a trained nursing assistant or healthcare aide. Previous experience with medication administration is also a plus.
To communicate with residents, family members, and colleagues, write and review care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you must have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
Your interactions with residents require strong skills based on personal suitability, maturity, and empathy. You demonstrate a strong commitment to both residents and the organization in all your interactions and actions. You enjoy working independently and are patient and proactive. You have a strong ability to collaborate and work together with colleagues, family members, and other professionals. The short-term care unit places extra demands on flexibility due to rapid changes. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Heavy lifting is involved; lifting aids must be used.
We look forward to receiving your application!
