Are you the one?

Prästsjögården is a nursing and assisted living facility with 70 apartments spread across six units. Prästsjögården is located in the scenic sculpture park in the Umedal area, about 7 km from downtown Umeå, which invites residents to enjoy the outdoors in a beautiful setting. Each unit features a large patio or balcony that is used as soon as the weather permits.

We are now opening a brand-new unit at our facility, focused on individuals at the end of life as well as those with extensive care and nursing needs. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape our work methods, structure, and teamwork from the very beginning—we’re now looking for nursing staff who want to join us on this journey!

Your Responsibilities

As a nursing staff member with us, you’ll play a vital role in the daily lives of our residents. With a professional approach and a caring demeanor, you’ll assist each individual with whatever support they need. We take a person-centered approach and focus on the individual’s strengths—with an emphasis on preserving and strengthening their existing abilities.

Your responsibilities will include, among other things:

  • Personal care and hygiene.
  • Documentation of procedures and health status.
  • Medical tasks as delegated by the responsible nurse.

You’ll work closely with colleagues, nurses, and other professionals to ensure high-quality care. Transfer aids are always used when moving or lifting patients.

About You

We are looking for someone who interacts with people with empathy, attentiveness, and a genuine commitment. You thrive in a role where you take responsibility, collaborate with others, and are eager to contribute ideas that advance the organization and make a real difference. You have a patient approach and maintain a positive demeanor in all situations, even when the pace is fast or conditions change rapidly. The role also involves contact with various government agencies, which means you work in a structured and meticulous manner and are confident in documentation and follow-up. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Smoking and pets may be present in the workplace, so you should not have allergies.

Requirements

  • Experience in palliative care and dementia care.
  • Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
