The elderly care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction.

The care and nursing home Sjöjungfrun is located at Tomtebo at the southern tip of Lake Nydala, about 6 km from Umeå city center. The home has 48 apartments spread over three floors. Each floor has two departments with 8 apartments per department. The property also has a beautiful garden where outdoor activities take place in the summer as often as the weather permits.

Your tasks

With a professional approach and good treatment, you assist our tenants in their everyday lives. The resident's co-determination is in focus and you contribute to efforts being carried out with good quality according to the decisions made.

You work person-centered and support the resident in different areas depending on their needs; for example, with showers, laundry, cleaning, meals and other services. The tasks also include care with various medical tasks based on, among other things, delegation of the responsible nurse. You also have a mission to be responsible for documentation of actions, events and health status.

You have scheduled working hours day, evening and weekend.

About you

We are looking for you who have experience of working in health and social care. We would like to see that you are a trained assistant nurse, care assistant or have equivalent knowledge acquired in another way. We also look positively at whether you have experience of elderly care, dementia care and medicine delegation.

In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medicine delegation, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

We want you to be empathetic with great understanding and a respectful approach. You should be able to work independently but also have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues and different professions.
