Umeå municipality's home care service is Umeå's largest provider with the longest experience of personal care and service. The municipality's home care service provides various forms of support, service and care in the home. We are the unit that handles all care services where our users live in their own homes in Umeå municipality. Most of our staff are assistant nurses who we continuously train. We are now looking for another colleague to join our dedicated team at the home care service Västra centrum. With us, you work in a small, central area where we easily get to our users without a car. Our group room is located in the City Hall area with convenient distance to bus stops. The team includes both assistant nurses and nursing staff and we look forward to welcoming and getting to know you! Your tasks As a home care nurse, you will be responsible for planning and carrying out care work in people's own homes. The aim is to enable the elderly or disabled person to remain in their home for as long as they wish. All our employees take joint responsibility for ensuring that the work is of good quality and follows the assistance decisions and implementation plans that are part of the assignment, where the individual's participation is in focus. Working hours are scheduled day, evening and weekend. About you We are looking for you who have experience of nursing work, preferably in home care. If you are a trained nurse or care assistant, it is an advantage. As a person, you have high integrity and a respectful approach. You are responsive, empathetic and have the ability to meet users based on their individual needs and conditions. You enjoy working independently and take responsibility for your work tasks, while showing commitment and professionalism in cooperation with both users, relatives and colleagues. In the recruitment process, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. To be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, you must have a good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Heavy lifting occurs, transfer aids must be used. As there may be animals and smoking in the workplace, you should not be allergic. A warm welcome with your application!
