So glad you are interested in working as an occupational therapist with us in Home Care! Home Care consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses and assistant nurses. In our lovely rehab gang, we are 21 occupational therapists, 12 physiotherapists / physiotherapists and 3 rehab coordinators who work closely together. You will be part of a work group that has good community and job satisfaction. We are good at pepping and supporting each other.
Our target group is patients from 18 years and up who need health care in ordinary housing in Umeå municipality.
During the fall of 2026, we will strengthen home care with an occupational therapist and a physiotherapist. This is to strengthen teamwork in home care and be able to work with more preventive efforts through a rehabilitative and person-centered approach. The new employees will be part of the regular operations and will be involved in developing our current working methods.
Your duties
As an occupational therapist, you work to create the conditions for the individual to be able to stay in their home and live as independent a life as possible. The work includes, among other things, making assessments of patients' activity capacity and living environment. Certificate writing, prescribing assistive devices and supervision of home care staff are common tasks.
About you
We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. If you have previous experience of home care, teamwork or geriatric rehabilitation, it is an advantage, but we also welcome those who have other work experience. The work requires that you have a B-driving license and good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
You are a positive and committed colleague who wants to be involved in developing our business. As a person, you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in teams while feeling responsible for your own contribution. You think that professional and pleasant treatment, perhaps with a pinch of humor, is a valuable tool for creating good relationships with patients and colleagues. Heavy lifting occurs, transfer aids should be used. As smoking and animals can occur in the workplace, you should not be allergic.
