We are currently accepting applications on an ongoing basis for all our facilities for the following positions: lifeguard, restaurant assistant, and fitness instructor. Our Facilities

• Navet is Umeå’s largest indoor swimming pool and water park, located right in the city center. During the summer, we’re also responsible for the heated outdoor pool Umelagun, which is located next to Nydalabadet’s beach. Read more about Navet here.
• Aquarena is located in Storsjöhallen, which is situated in Holmsund, about 18 km outside of Umeå. Read more about Aquarena/Storsjöhallen here.

• Sävar Swimming Pool is located in Sävar, about 19 km outside of Umeå. Read more about Sävar Swimming Center here.

• Hemgården’s pool and gym is located in the central western part of Umeå. The facility is geared toward seniors and is temporarily closed due to renovations, but will reopen in January 2027. Read more about Hemgården here.

Working as a pool attendant

In the role of pool attendant, you’ll primarily focus on our most important mission: ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our visitors. Your duties include, among other things, lifeguarding, maintaining cleanliness at our facility, and working at the front desk. At the front desk, you’ll be the public face of our facility for our visitors, answering the phone, selling memberships, collecting admission fees, and selling merchandise from our shop. 

Working as a Restaurant Assistant

At our larger facilities, we operate our own restaurant concept, RE:AL. Here, we prepare and serve light meals, coffee and pastries, snacks, and beverages. As a restaurant assistant with us, you play a key role in ensuring proper food safety procedures. You’ll prepare food, clean, and work the register.

Working as a Fitness Instructor

As a fitness or group exercise instructor, you’ll lead, inspire, and guide our members in an educational and safe manner. You’ll stay up to date on new training methods and constantly strive to develop in your role as an instructor. At our facilities, we offer, among other things, Aqua (various styles), Yoga (various styles), the Les Mills concept, and HIIT/circuit training.

About You

What these positions have in common is that we’re looking for someone who is resilient under pressure, adaptable, and able to remain calm when unexpected situations arise—since the pace here is often fast-paced. You’re comfortable working both independently and as part of a team and have strong collaborative skills. You are also service-oriented and always strive to create the best possible experience for our visitors. For all positions, you must also have very good spoken and written Swedish, as well as a basic knowledge of English. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements - Pool Attendant

• Must be at least 18 years old, as the position involves safety responsibilities
• Experience in the service industry
• Cashier experience
• Passed swimming test
• Valid police background check

Requirements - Restaurant Assistant

• Experience in the service industry, preferably in the fast-food industry
• Cashier experience
• Valid police background check

Requirements - Fitness Instructor

• Must be at least 18 years old, as the position involves safety responsibilities
• Previous experience leading group fitness classes is preferred, but not required—we’ll ensure you receive the proper training!
• Valid criminal background check from the police

Employment Information

This is an intermittent position (hourly work/on-call as needed), which means you’ll work based on the business’s needs, without a fixed employment level. Perhaps you’re a student, a retiree, or have another job?
