A personal assistant helps someone with basic needs, such as eating, dressing, washing and communicating. The assistance is individually adapted and should provide increased opportunities for people with disabilities to live an independent life.

We are now looking for a personal assistant for a user living at Tomtebo!

Your duties

As a personal assistant, you will assist the user in his everyday life and enable an independent and meaningful life. You will work in the user's home and in the local environment, and your duties may include:

Personal care and health

• Help the user with hygiene, dressing and personal care.
• Assist with meals and medication as instructed.
• Manage transfers and use lifting aids when needed.

Practical support in everyday life

• Maintain household chores such as cooking, cleaning and laundry.
• Planning and carrying out shopping and other errands.

Social support and activities

• Supporting and encouraging social activities and hobbies.
• Being a support at meetings, visits or excursions.

Your personal qualities

To thrive in the role, you need to be confident, responsive and flexible. You have an empathetic and professional approach and show great respect for the user's need for integrity and privacy. A good treatment and a positive attitude are crucial to create a safe and meaningful everyday life for the user. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for you who have experience of:

• Personal assistance.
• Led care.
• TIPP.
• Image communication.

The position also requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, in order to be able to communicate with users and relatives. We see it as a merit if you have a care education, but it is not a requirement.

As the user has pets in the home, you should not be allergic. Heavy lifting occurs, transfer aids should be used.
