People under the age of 65 who have a disability and extensive support and assistance needs can apply for personal assistance. A personal assistant helps someone with basic needs, such as eating, dressing, washing and communicating. The assistance is individually adapted and aims to increase the opportunities for people with disabilities to live an independent life. Your tasks As a personal assistant, you provide support and assistance in the user's everyday life. You help with nursing, medication, transfers, meals and personal hygiene. The work also includes interventions in palliative care as well as the handling of probe, PEG, cough machine, mucus suction and C-PAP. Working hours are day, evening and weekend. About you We are looking for you who have experience working as a personal assistant or in health and social care. Experience of handling medication and working with people at the end of life is an advantage. You are a confident, calm and empathetic person who can build trust and has the ability to adapt to the user's needs. We would like to see that you are a trained assistant nurse or care assistant. The position requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and basic knowledge of English. Please note that there are furry animals in the home.
