People under the age of 65 who have a disability and extensive needs for support and assistance can apply for personal assistance. A personal assistant helps someone with basic needs, such as eating, dressing, washing and communicating. The assistance is individually adapted and aims to increase the opportunities for people with disabilities to live an independent life. Your tasks As a personal assistant, you will support the user in daily life, for example with nursing, transfers, walking, personal hygiene and other everyday activities. In this role, you are an important part of the user's everyday life - you create security, participation and quality of life for a person who needs your support. The service is located in Hörnefors. About you We are looking for you who are positive, responsive and treat others with respect. For us, it is crucial that you have a genuine interest in working with people and can create security in the meeting with others. You have a good ability to adapt to the needs of the user and show consideration, integrity and patience in your approach. As personal chemistry is important in this role, we place great emphasis on personal suitability. We would like to see that you are a trained assistant nurse and/or have experience in nursing and transfers, but this is not a requirement. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. As the position is located in Hörnefors, we would like you to have a B driving license and access to a car for practical reasons, but bus and train connections are available if you do not live in the area.
