Do you want to make a difference in people's lives and work as a personal representative?
Personal representatives work with people aged 18 and over who live with a long-term and severe mental disability that causes significant difficulties in several important areas of life.
Many clients are in need of extensive support from multiple agencies.
Personal representatives are an independent activity that works on behalf of the individual client. The aim of the support is to enable the individual to make his or her voice heard, live a more independent life and be more involved in society. In addition to client work, we have a mission to improve the target group on a structural level. The assignment comes from the National Board of Health and Welfare and means that as a personal representative we are the "scout in welfare". This means that we must map and create a basis for the shortcomings that we notice in the public systems and which mean that the needs of the target group are not being met.
The work of a personal representative is clearly characterized by the individual representative's personality, approach and commitment. One could call it an emotional or intuitive approach. In order to succeed in the work, in addition to commitment, a well-thought-out and conscious methodology is required, which includes concrete working tools, a well-thought-out work process, well-thought-out values and approaches, and a functioning organizational framework.
