Therefore, the technology and property management has now been given an increased responsibility in civil preparedness and will lead the work. To succeed, we are now looking for an experienced emergency preparedness coordinator who wants to be involved in shaping the future solutions in backup power, food supply, fuel and emergency stocks. We are now looking for a courageous emergency preparedness coordinator who wants to help build something completely new - and at the same time contribute to strengthening the security of everyone who lives and works in the municipality! The work of the Civil Protection Emergency Coordinator As an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, you will have overall responsibility for coordinating and driving the development of the municipality's emergency preparedness capabilities. You will lead and coordinate complex projects from planning to implementation, ensuring that structures, working methods and processes are established in a sustainable and efficient way. You will work closely with colleagues within your own administration, the technical and property administration, and in dialog with other administrations within Umeå municipality and external actors. This is a newly created role, which means that you will be involved from the start and shape the mission. It also means that some conditions are still taking shape - which can be both exciting and challenging. You will need to navigate an environment where all the pieces of the puzzle are not yet in place, and where patience, clarity and initiative are required to drive the work forward. Here, you will not only influence how the assignment is designed, but also be involved in building a function that is crucial for the municipality's robustness and security. About you We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in spatial planning, strategic development work and sustainable solutions. You are used to running projects in complex environments and enjoy creating structure where there is not yet a clear framework. You are independent and goal-oriented, but value collaboration and know that results are best achieved together with others. We want you to have: Post-secondary education in project management, change management or other education deemed relevant by the employer Several years of experience in managing and implementing projects in large organizations Good ability to express yourself clearly in both speech and writing in Swedish B-driving license It is a merit if you have experience of working with civil preparedness, crisis preparedness or the development of new processes and working methods in the public sector. We know that experiences can be different. Perhaps you have worked with preparedness issues before, or you have another background in, for example, community planning, technical project management or strategic development work. The most important thing is that you are curious, responsible and want to contribute to something bigger.
